Wide-Area Data Collection and Distribution

We create systems that collect data from a wide range of stationary and mobile locations, package it, and transmit it through wide-area networks, where it is collected and processed on a server. These systems can transmit data back to the originating systems to synchronize their underlying data tables and distribute collected data. Some good examples of our work are:
  • ADORE Distribution of training data throughout a police force.
  • Classroom Inventory System Transmission of inventory and background data through the internet.
  • ITEMS Gathering of course evaluation data through multiple modes, analyzing it, and distributing reports online.
We provide information gathering mechanisms that go far beyond the internet. Since 1983, we have developed and supported interactive applications using Scantron™ Optical Mark Readers (OMRs). These machines are widely used to gather volumes of data at minimal cost. We also create software for Palm Pilot™ hand-held devices, used for gathering data in the field.
